# xAPI statements

> Read the xAPI statements Juno records: which endpoint to use, statement fields, and verbs.

Juno records an xAPI statement when a learner starts or completes learning, passes a quiz, attends a session, earns a certification, and more. Read them with a personal access token that has the `xapi:read` scope. List statements and Export statements read a daily snapshot of your organization's statements, created by the first request each day. Statements recorded after that request appear the next day. Statement `id` values are generated per snapshot, so they change daily: don't use them to deduplicate across days.

## Statement fields

| Field | Description |

| `actor` | Who did it, usually the learner |
| `verb` | What happened. `verb.id` is one of the [verbs](#verbs) below |
| `object.id` | What it happened to, as a URL such as `https://www.junojourney.com/units/<unitId>`. It identifies the item; it isn't a page you can open |
| `object.definition` | `name` and `description` as JSON language maps, for example `{"en-US":"Intro to Leadership"}`; `type`, the activity type; and `target`, the user the action was for when that isn't the actor, such as the learner in an assignment |
| `result` | The outcome, such as a score, when there is one |
| `context` | Related activities and other context |
| `timestamp` | When it happened |
| `userId` | The Juno user ID the statement belongs to |
