Assigning content
From Content tab (/managers/1), assign learning to your team.
In the Standard setup, you assign to your team: the people who report to you, directly or further down your reporting line. On content you created or co-edit, you can assign anyone in your organization. Your organization can choose a different setup, for example letting managers assign anyone or keeping co-editors to their role’s reach. See Who can assign learning.
How to assign
1
Browse content
The Content tab shows internal and external content.
2
Select and assign
Find the course or path and click Assign.
3
Select users
Select team members individually or by group.
4
Set due date (optional)
Add a deadline. Due-date reminders are optional and set per unit: 7 days before, 1 day before, and 2 days after the due date.
5
Confirm
The assignment appears in the team member’s My Assignments.
Due-date reminders and other unit automations aren’t sent to the unit’s creator or co-editors, even if they’re also assigned to it.
Assigning priced learning
If your organization sells learning through Stripe and you’re a Manager or Manager & Instructor who isn’t an admin, assigning a Course or Journey that has a price adds a payment step to the Assign dialog. That includes content you co-edit. The people you selected are assigned after you pay. See Paying when you assign priced content for the steps. This may not be enabled for your organization.Nudge / reminders
If a team member hasn’t started or completed an assignment:- Find the content in your Content tab
- Click the nudge/reminder action
- Optionally add a custom message
- They receive a notification
Tracking progress
Filter by status to quickly identify who needs follow-up.
Assigning to a whole team at once
At the Select users step, pick a group as the audience instead of selecting people one by one. Everyone in the group at that moment receives the assignment. The assignment goes to the group’s members, not to the group itself. People added to the group afterwards do not inherit an assignment that was already sent — assign again, or use an automation to enroll people as they match the audience.
