Overview

Notification Settings is where you control, for your whole organization, which notifications Juno sends and which channels they go out on. You can also rewrite the message text of any notification, per language and per channel. Open it from Admin → Settings → Notification Settings (/admin/4/notification-settings).

What you can and can’t control

These settings cover email, push, and messaging (Slack or Teams) notifications only.
In-app notifications (the bell icon), sign-in emails, and SMS are not affected by these settings. Learners keep receiving them regardless of what you turn off here.
The Email Logo row sets the logo shown at the top of your organization’s platform emails. Select Upload Email Logo to set one. If you don’t set a logo, emails fall back to your platform logo.

Disable all notifications

The Disable all notifications switch is an organization-wide off button. When it’s on, Juno stops sending every outgoing email, push, and messaging notification for your organization until you turn it back on. You’ll be asked to confirm before it takes effect.
This affects everyone in your organization. In-app notifications and sign-in emails keep working, but no other email, push, or messaging notifications go out while it’s on.

Finding a notification

Notifications are grouped into families that you can expand and collapse. To narrow the list:
  • Search notifications — type to filter by name.
  • Filters — open the filter menu to narrow by:
    • Status — All, Enabled, or Disabled
    • Message — All, Customized, or Default
    • Delivers via — Email, Push, or Slack/Teams

Notification families

Channels and how toggles work

Each notification shows a checkbox for every channel it supports. A checkbox only appears when that notification can be sent on that channel.
Some emails are opt-in and are off by default. They only send when you check their Email box.
To turn a notification off entirely, clear all of its channels. Re-checking any channel turns it back on, delivering only through the channel you checked.

Making changes in bulk

You don’t have to change notifications one at a time:
  • All notifications — the checkboxes on the top bar toggle a channel across every notification currently in view.
  • Family level — the checkboxes on a family header toggle that channel for every notification in the family.
A dash (indeterminate state) on a channel means some notifications in that group use it and some don’t.

Customizing message text

Select Customize message on any notification to rewrite its copy. Changes are saved per language and per channel, and the notification is marked Customized.
1

Open the dialog

Select Customize message on the notification you want to change.
2

Pick a language

Choose the language you’re editing. Each language has its own text.
3

Edit each channel

Use the Email, Push, and Slack/Teams tabs. Email supports a subject, title, description, and button text; push and messaging are plain text. Leave a field empty to keep its default.
4

Insert variables

Type @ in a field to insert a variable, such as the learner’s name or the item title.
5

Send a test (email only)

Save first, then use Send test email to preview the saved message in your inbox.
6

Save

Save your changes. To undo a customization, use Reset to default to restore the original text for that channel and language.

Notification Settings requires:
