Jaden is the AI assistant in the course editor. Describe the course you want, or ask for changes to the one you have, and Jaden writes it. You see every change in place and decide what to keep before anything is saved.
Open Jaden
1
Open a course in the editor
Open any course you can edit.
2
Select Create
A Create button with a sparkle icon sits at the bottom right of the screen. On a narrow screen, only the icon shows.
3
Work beside your course
Jadenâs panel opens next to the course, not over it, so you can keep editing while you chat. Drag the panelâs left edge to make it wider or narrower. Select Minimize chat to close it.
Ask Jaden for a course or a change
An empty conversation starts with a greeting and four groups of suggested prompts: Enrich your team, Train your team, Onboard new hires, and Policy training. Select a group, hover a prompt to preview it in the message box, and select it to send. You can also type your own request in the message box, such as âMake a 10-minute course on how to run a one-on-one, for new managers.â Under the message box:- Add files (the + button) attaches documents, slides, spreadsheets, images, audio, video, and text files, up to 10 at a time. Jaden builds from whatâs in them.
- Web search lets Jaden look things up on the web. Itâs off until you turn it on.
- Send sends your message. While Jaden is working, the same button becomes Stop.
Answer a few questions
Before it starts, Jaden may ask a few short questions to understand what you need. They appear above the message box. Pick an answer, type your own under Other, or select Skip. Use Next to move through the questions and Submit to finish. If you skip them all, Jaden carries on without them.Edit the outline
When Jaden plans a course, it shows the proposed sections as an outline before it writes anything. You can:- Drag a row by its handle to change the order.
- Select a title to rewrite it. Open a rowâs description to change what the section covers.
- Remove a section, or select Add section to add one.
Review Jadenâs changes
Jadenâs changes appear in your course, where they belong. Added content, changed text, and removed content are each marked, with a short label such as Added question or Changed paragraph. Nothing is saved until you choose.1
Look through the changes
Above each section, a bar shows how many changes it has. Use the arrows to go to the Previous change or Next change. Select See before to view the section as it was, shown faded, with the caption Before Jadenâs changes.
2
Switch changes on or off
Every change starts switched on. Each change has its own pair of switches, Switch on this change and Switch off this change. The â and â in the section bar switch every change in that section off or on. Switching saves nothing.
3
Keep or discard in one step
In Jadenâs panel, a bar titled Edited 3 sections lists each section. Select a row to jump to it. Hover or focus a row to show its â and â, which switch that whole section. Then choose one of the buttons at the bottom of the bar: Keep all, Keep 4 of 6, or Discard all. The numbers count changes, not sections.
- If you switch every change off, only Discard all is left.
- Not ready to decide? Type in the message box, which now says Ask for a revisionâŚ. Jaden revises with your switches applied.
- While Jaden is still writing, the switches and the buttons wait. While another editor is in the course, the buttons wait. The bar says why.
Apply recommended settings
After it builds a course, Jaden may suggest settings in a Recommended Settings card in the chat. Depending on the course, it can suggest Completion Criteria, Question Retries, Due Date, and, where AI validation is available to you, Validation Mode. Select a setting to see why Jaden suggests it, what it is now, and to change the value. Select Skip this one on any setting you donât want. Then select Apply, which shows how many settings it will apply, for example Apply 3. Select Skip to apply none. The card then shows Settings applied. When something goes wrong
When Jaden canât finish, it says so and leaves your course as it was.
If a file doesnât upload, the message says so. Your network may be blocking uploads. Try another network, or paste the text into the message box instead.
