Media content types
Juno supports several media content types that can exist standalone or inside Courses and Journeys:Media content types do not currently have completion criteria — they are not tracked for completion.

Wistia videos
Paste a Wistia video link and it plays in Juno like a YouTube or Vimeo video. Use the link to the video itself, or Wistia’s embed link. This works in a course’s video block, in a pasted embed, and on the Link tab when you add a video step to a Journey.Completion
A standalone video does not have completion tracking. A video step in a Journey can require learners to watch to the end — see Video, audio, and file steps.
Recording videos
If recording is enabled, you can create videos directly in Juno:1

Use your browser’s camera and microphone to record.

Preview your recording, then save it to the unit.
Explainer videos with your AI assistant
Your AI assistant, connected through the Juno MCP server, can make a designed explainer video: a narrated video with on-screen labels, callouts, and diagrams. It teaches even when the sound is off. Use it for how-tos, processes, concepts, and walkthroughs. An explainer video is a sequence of scenes. A scene can be:
A scene’s picture can be a generated still, a designed backdrop, or a short filmed shot.

Ask for the video
Tell your assistant the topic and share your material. Screenshots help when the video explains a screen.

Review the storyboard
The assistant shows the storyboard as scene cards before anything is generated. Edit the narration and on-screen text, and reorder, add (+ Add scene, up to 24 scenes), or delete scenes. A settings bar sets the look (motion or static, and aspect ratio), style, brand colors, voice, music, logo, character, and end card. Upload your own screenshots into empty slots, or leave comments for the assistant to act on.

Generate
Select Generate video. In an assistant that can’t start a render from the panel, ask the assistant to generate instead. The video renders in the background. Scenes made of stills and designed backdrops take about a minute. A board with filmed shots usually takes 3 to 8 minutes, and sometimes more than 10.

Add it to your content
When the video is ready, your assistant adds it to a course section. If a render loses something, such as the narration for one scene, the assistant tells you.
Captions
Narrated explainer videos show captions in short phrases of up to seven words. A phrase ends at a punctuation mark when it has at least three words. Where Juno can align the narration, each phrase appears when it is spoken, not spread evenly across the scene. Your assistant also gets a separate captions file in WebVTT format for the video. The closing line over the end card is not captioned.Annotation shapes
Juno places decorative shapes on explainer videos automatically: arrows, underlines, scribbles, sparkles, and geometric accents. They come from third-party asset packs. See Content Credits. The shapes are not an asset library you can pick from in the editor.Article
Articles are rich text content that can include images, embeds, and formatting. They’re marked complete when the learner opens them. Articles are great for:- Written guides and procedures
- Reference material with images
- Quick-read content that doesn’t need video
